Booking and Payments
A deposit of 50% of the total safari cost is required to confirm your booking.
Full payment must be made 60 days prior to the start of your safari.
Payments are accepted via bank transfer or other methods specified at booking.
All prices are quoted in USD and include accommodations, meals, guiding services, and field trophy preparation, unless otherwise stated.
Additional costs (e.g., trophy fees, permits, or travel outside the package) will be communicated at booking.
Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations made 90 days or more before the safari start date are eligible for a full refund of the deposit, minus a 10% administrative fee.
Cancellations made 60–89 days before the start date receive a 50% refund of the deposit.
No refunds are issued for cancellations within 60 days of the safari start date.
If Sitanga Safaris cancels a safari due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund or rescheduling option will be offered.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover unforeseen cancellations.
Hunting Licenses and Permits
All hunters must hold a valid Zambian hunting license, which Sitanga Safaris will arrange on your behalf.
Permit fees are included in the safari package unless otherwise specified.
Clients must provide necessary documentation (e.g., passport details) at least 90 days prior to the safari for permit processing.
Failure to comply with Zambian wildlife regulations may result in cancellation without refund.
Ethical Hunting Practices
Sitanga Safaris adheres to strict ethical and sustainable hunting practices, following fair chase principles and Zambian wildlife laws.
Clients are expected to respect all guidelines provided by Professional Hunters during the safari.
Any violation of ethical hunting standards may result in immediate termination of the safari without refund.
Travel and Accessibility
Clients are responsible for arranging flights to one of the three international airports within 60 miles of the Sitanga concession.
Sitanga Safaris provides transfers from the airport to the hunting concession, as specified in your package.
Non-hunters accompanying the safari may participate in photographic safaris or sightseeing, subject to availability and additional fees.
Health and Safety
Clients must disclose any medical conditions or physical limitations prior to booking to ensure a safe hunting experience.
Sitanga Safaris is not liable for injuries or accidents during the safari, though all reasonable precautions are taken.
Travel and medical insurance is required for all clients and must cover hunting activities and medical evacuation.
Trophy Handling
Trophy preparation in the field is included in the safari package.
Additional costs for taxidermy, shipping, or export permits are the client’s responsibility and will be outlined at booking.
Sitanga Safaris ensures compliance with all Zambian and international regulations for trophy export.
Liability and Force Majeure
Sitanga Safaris is not liable for delays, cancellations, or disruptions due to events beyond our control, including weather, political instability, or wildlife regulation changes.
In such cases, Sitanga Safaris will work with clients to reschedule or provide alternative solutions, but no financial compensation is guaranteed.
Code of Conduct
Clients are expected to treat staff, wildlife, and the environment with respect.
Any behavior deemed unsafe or disrespectful may result in termination of the safari without refund.
Alcohol consumption is permitted only in moderation and not during hunting activities.
Changes to Terms
Sitanga Safaris reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time.
Clients will be notified of any changes prior to their safari, and the latest terms will apply to all bookings.
